Facts about the climate, sports, Jakarta and the religion in Indonesia

CLIMATE

The climate in Indonesia is: Tropic rainforest, sumpplaces, mountains, volcanoes and glacier's.
The climate is hot and humid, much because Indonesia is right on the Equator.
The climate in Indonesia is defintily tropic, much rainforest, bur it rains actually just a few hours a day, and the temperature is never less than 21c a day. This is pretty strange when Indonesia almost lays at Equator.
Indonesia lays in the climatezone: Tropic zone.

SPORTS

Indonesia has many sports, like Polo, Australian Football and Badmington, but the most popular sport is Football. The national team was the first national team who was qulifite to FIFA world cup from Oseania in 1938. But it is Badminton witch is the most succsesful sport.


JAKARTA

Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia, and it is also the biggest city in Indonesia. In popoulation is it the biggest city in Indonesia, but it is also the largest city of population in Southeast Asia. Jakarta is located on the northwest coast of Java. The capital has an area of 661.52 square kilometers, and a population of 8,489,910 people. Jakarta is the country's economic, political and cultural center, and it is now, the twelft-largest city in the world.
Landmarks and Tourist attractions
Jakarta's most recognizable landmark is National Monument standing right in the center of Merdeka Square, the central park of the city. Jakarta has also many museums, as National Museum of Indonesia, Fatahillah Museum, Wayang (Puppet) Museum, Satria Mandala Museum, and Maritime Museum. Jakarta is one of most attractive shopping places in Southeast Asia apart from Singapore. Jakarta is also famous for its nightlife, with a very cosmopolitan atmosphere in the city's southern clubs (Blowfish, Dragonfly, Red Square) and more local clubs in the north (Stadium, Millenium, Golden Crown.



RELIGION

Most of the people in Indonesia are Muslims. (86,1%) The other religion is protestant, (5,7%) Roman Catholic (3%) and Hindu (1,8%).
The Muslims god is Allah, no God without Allah. The quran is a very important book for the Muslims. The book is at Arabic, but that is only the originally. The muslims has holy places, where they pray to Allah, who is there god.
